thankfulness on a snow-day...

Hi all! Hope your day is going well!

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Here in the city we were stuck inside...literally.

Just below my knees!

Just below my knees!

It is said to be 24-28 inches of snow to have come in. Yesterday at noon public transportation came to a holt and by 2:30pm drivers had to be off the road. So we were stuck inside until 7am this morning. The blizzard has come to its end...for now anyway.

No outing yesterday, no treats today, just thankfulness for both. I am so glad to be blessed with shelter, food and family. A year ago this month I remember being snowed in for five days in Boston. It was great considering I was a senior at the time and how my professors thought it great to give a weeks worth of homework for two days...it almost seemed as if they knew students would be snowed in for five days...almost. I digress.

After the fact...Neighbors came out to help

After shoveling and playing in the snow for a bit, I returned inside to defrost my feet and give the blog some love. I'm simply grateful for shelter, warmth, tea, and light. It says a lot when you are confined to one place, even if it is just for a day and are forced to interact with what you have. This was the case yesterday- and, not for the first time, I was reminded to be thankful for the smallest things in life. So yes, I am grateful.

Day at its end

Stay Blessed,
